Oosa Kori, Itsekiri, and biblical Issachar – same difference

It has long been my argument that Issachar of the bible is actually the eponymous ancestor of the Itsekiri (also Ishekiri) people of Delta Sate in Nigeria. This is based on a comparison of their eponyms Itsekiri and Issachar (Ishekir(i) > Issachar), a Bible prophecy in Genesis 49:14 about being settled between two antagonists, another Bible prophecy in Deuteronomy 33:18-19 about having access to the sea and resources in the ground, and their being Aku (aka Omo Oduduwa) the biblical Israelites. Well, after recently ‘awakening’ to the realization that  the eponymous ancestors of the twelve Aku ‘tribes’ are all orishas (venerable ancestors who number 401 and are all enikejis or spirit doubles of the 401 middle irunmoles), it suddenly dawned upon me that Itsekiri is the orisha named Kori (also Koori, aka Oosa Koori), the orisha of children to whom children praise a lot with songs. And I also saw ‘his’ description in Deuteronomy 33:18-19 clearly for the first time.

The -ts- in the eponym Itsekiri is -sh- in the Ife Oodaye dialect and Oosa (actually Oosha) is elided from Orisha. Kori is the proper name of the orisha in question but he is also called Oosa  Koori.  When compared with Ishekiri it is obvious that they are dialectic variants of the same eponym.

OosaKori > Isekiri

The implied equivalence of Kori with Kiri and Oosa with Itse requires confirmation from somebody familiar with both the Itsekiri and Ife Oodaye  dialects on one hand, and on the other a knowledge of the name of this orisha among the Itsekiri. Orisha is Oritse in Itsekiri.

The Bible marker in about being settled between two antagonists that can be used to identify biblical Issachar and thus confirm their identity as really Itsekiri is

Genesis 49:14 Issachar is a strong donkey,  lying down between two burdens

The two burdens have been the Ijaw people and an Edoid people called Urhobo, both of whom have been encroaching on and claiming their land. That of the Ijaw has been no different from terrorism as they have been using guns and related weapons for this and to drive them to extinction from their land, Warri.

The second Bible marker is fulfilled also in their location in the swampy Niger Delta by the Atlantic Ocean. They have reaped immensely from the crude oil and natural gas found both onshore and offshore but have been robbed of the proceeds till date.

Deuteronomy 33:18 And of Ijebu (Zebulun) he said: “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out, and Issachar in your tents! 19 they shall call the peoples to the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; for they shall partake of the abundance of the seas and of treasures hidden in the sand.

All these I confirmed from Ifa.

But Oosa Kori is female, meaning that the Bible narrative about the offspring of Aku was copied by fraudulent misogynists. She bore her Itsekiri offspring for Ado (also Edo aka Isedale, Obagodo, biblical Esau) and till date all who rise to become the Olu of Warri who is the judge of the Itsekiri people have emerged from this lineage.
